Product designer for billing, platform, and data-heavy products
Six-plus years designing self-serve experiences for hosting customers, after a decade running apparel production operations. Question-driven; I align early with product and engineering.
About me
Senior-level product designer with 6+ years in product UX and a decade prior in apparel production and operations, which trained me to think in systems, dependencies, data integrity, and automation at scale. At WP Engine I own self-serve billing and plan management (upgrades, downgrades, add-ons) with measured support and revenue impact, and I am extending into traffic and security experiences for hosting customers. I am question-driven and process-clear: I align PM and engineering early, ground decisions in research, phase work when constraints are real, and hand off finished specs from a defined dev-ready surface.
What I’m looking for
Roles: Senior Product Designer, Lead Product Designer (full-time priority). Contract, fractional (10 to 20 hrs/week), and agency overflow also open.
Location: Las Vegas, NV; remote US.
Work authorization: US citizen, no sponsorship required.
Availability: Actively applying and interviewing; 14-day notice.
Experience and areas of focus
Self-serve billing and plan management; conversion-focused product UX; design systems and design-code parity; data-heavy admin and platform/security UX for hosting customers.
6+ years product UX; 10+ years prior in apparel production and operations.
Proof at a glance
~60%+ fewer support tickets on plan changes (Downgrades case study).
~225 hrs/month support time saved on self-serve plan changes (Downgrades).
~7.7% upgrade lift after plans redesign (Plans).
37% to 67% self-serve add-on purchases via quick-buy flow (Plans).
Selected case studies
Plans: Customers could not see usage in context, so upgrades stalled. Clear usage and comparison UI lifted upgrades ~7.7%. robinyeo.com/case-studies/plans
Downgrades: Plan changes required support and heavy ticket load. Self-serve downgrades cut tickets ~60%+ and saved hundreds of support hours per month. robinyeo.com/case-studies/downgrades
Design-code drift workflow: Designer-in-the-loop Figma and code parity for systems-minded teams. robinyeo.com/case-studies/design-code-drift-audit
How I work
Clarify scope and constraints before high-fidelity work.
Design reviews with PM and engineering in the open; dev-ready handoff only from a defined surface.
Research and edge cases for billing and platform rules before locking UX.
